Apply for your student ID card

Once you've set up your University IT account and enrolled, you can order your student ID card. It can take up to 24 hours after setting up your IT account for the University’s other systems and services to become available to you. This includes your email, ID card service and enrolment services.

Your student ID card will give you access to facilities on campus including libraries and faculty buildings. It will be valid until the end of your studies. You should carry your ID card with you whenever you’re on campus.

What you’ll need

To apply for your ID card, you'll need to use your University IT account details and you must be enrolled.

You’ll need to upload a to your application. If you do not upload an appropriate photo, there may be a delay to the processing and collection of your ID card.

Collecting your ID card

You'll need to collect your student ID card from The Student Hub, Building 37, University Road, Southampton, SO17 1BJ.

We'll email you when your card is ready to collect, and give you further details about opening times and how to collect your card.
