Foundation year entry requirements

If you do not have the traditional entry requirements for our undergraduate courses, you may be able to qualify by doing one of our foundation programmes first. To find out more, visit our foundation years page or .

Undergraduate entry requirements

To be considered forÌýa placeÌýon one of our undergraduate (bachelors) degrees, you will need:

UK A levels with grades from BBB to A*AA
International Baccalaureate (IB) with grades from 30 to 38
Certificado de fim de Estudos Secundários with a minimum overall grade of 17 - 18

Postgraduate entry requirements

MastersÌýprogrammes Diploma de Estudos Superiores Especializados / Licenciado with a minimum grade of 16 (Bom com distinção) - equivalent to a UK 2:1
PhD programmes Good grades in bachelors and masters degrees awarded by a recognised university,Ìýand a strong research proposal

English language entry requirements

Ìý TheÌýPortuguese student community

We are pleased to welcome students fromÌýPortugal to the University each year. In 2016/17 we have 33 Portuguese studentsÌýstudying with us. We also welcomed 1 Erasmus student from our Portuguese partner institutions.

Student-run clubs and societies

Getting involved in clubs and societies is a great way to meet other students from your country and from around the world. There are manyÌýsocieties run by the University's Students' Union (SUSU) forÌýdifferent interests, religions, sports and academic groups.
