Ìý Entry requirements

Foundation year entry requirements

International Foundation Year (progressing to undergraduate degree in management, humanities, arts and social sciences) Certificate of Completed Secondary EducationÌý(Attestat), achieving at least 4.0 out of 5.0 overallÌýwith 4.0 out of 5.0 in subjects relevant to the chosen undergraduate course
Engineering Foundation Year (progressing to undergraduate courses in engineering, physics, computer science and geophysics) Certificate of Completed Secondary Education (Attestat), achieving at least 4.0 out of 5.0 overall with a minimum grade 4.0 out of 5.0 in both maths and physics
Science Foundation Year (progressing to undergraduate courses in biology, chemistry and other science-related courses) Certificate of Completed Secondary Education (Attestat), achieving at least 4.0 out of 5.0 overall with a minimum grade 4.0 out of 5.0 in both maths and a science subject

Please note that this course does not progress to an undergraduate degree in medicine.

Undergraduate entry requirements

To be considered forÌýa place onÌýone of our undergraduate (bachelors) degrees, you will need:

Certificate of Completed Secondary Education (Attestat)Ìýand successful completion of a recognised foundation programme
Successful completion of at least one year of university study in Kazakhstan
Successful completion of Specialist Diploma awarded after 1991
High grades in UK A levels
Between 28 and 38 points in the International Baccalaureate (IB)

Postgraduate entry requirements

MastersÌýprogrammes

Bakalavr, Specialist Diploma or Magister from a recognised university with a minimum grade of 4 out of 5. Grade requirements vary according to marking scale.

PhD programmes Good grades in bachelors and masters degrees awarded by a recognised university,Ìýand a strong research proposal

English language entry requirements
