Foundation year entry requirements

If you do not have the traditional entry requirements for our undergraduate courses, you may be able to qualify by doing one of our foundation programmes first. To find out more, visit our foundation years page or .

Undergraduate entry requirements

To be considered forÌýa place onÌýone of our undergraduate (bachelors) degrees, you will need:

Cambridge International A levels taken in Brunei
A levels taken in the UK
Between 28 and 38 points in the International Baccalaureate (IB)
Recognised foundation course taken in the UK, AustraliaÌýor Canada
Students with the Higher National Diploma will be considered for first or second year entry to the University's undergraduate (bachelors)Ìýdegree programmes

Postgraduate entry requirements

MastersÌýprogrammes

Bachelors degree awarded by a recognised institution with a minimum GPA of 3.2 out of 5.0

UK 1st equivalent: GPA 3.8
UK 2:1 equivalent: GPA 3.2

PhD programmes

Good grades in bachelors and masters degrees awarded by a recognised university,Ìýand a strong research proposal

English language entry requirements

You will need to be able toÌýdemonstrateÌýthe requiredÌýlevel of English language proficiency. Students from Brunei who have achieved Cambridge O Level – English grade C+ may be exempted from additional English language requirements.

ÃÛÌÒTV is one of the top Universities in Research and Teaching. In addition to that, this University offers a wide range of courses. What attracted me most was Maths with Actuarial Science, a course combining all aspects of Maths, Statistics, Economics and Finance into one package.
