Foundation year entry requirements
| International Foundation Year (progressing to undergraduate degree in management, humanities, arts and social sciences) | Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education achieving a Grade B (9) or 65% average with at least grade B (9) or 65% in subjects relevant to the chosen undergraduate course |
| Engineering Foundation Year (progressing to undergraduate courses in engineering, physics, computer science and geophysics) | Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, achieving a Grade B (9) or 65% average with at least grade B (9) or 65% in both maths and physics |
| Science Foundation Year (progressing to undergraduate courses in biology, chemistry and other science-related courses) | Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, achieving a Grade B (9) or 65% average with at least grade B (9) or 65% in both maths and a science subject Please note that this course does not progress to an undergraduate degree in medicine. |
Undergraduate entry requirements
To be considered forÌýa place onÌýone of our undergraduate (bachelors) degrees, you will need:
| High grades in UK A levels |
| Between 28 and 38 points in the International Baccalaureate (IB) |
| A recognised foundation year programme |
| Successful completion of first year of a recognised Kenyan university honours degree |
Postgraduate entry requirements
| MastersÌýprogrammes |
Bachelors degree awarded by a recognised Kenyan university or an equivalent professional qualification approved by the University UK 1st equivalent: 1st, or 70%, or GPA 3.4 |
| PhD programmes |
Good grades in bachelors and masters degrees awarded by a recognised university,Ìýand a strong research proposal UK 1st equivalent: 1st, or 70%, or GPA 3.4 |
English language entry requirements
You will need to be able toÌýdemonstrateÌýthe requiredÌýlevel of English language proficiency.ÌýThe University can accept a KCSE grade B in English, combined with an English proficiency letter from a recognised university in place of an English Language Test.ÌýFind out more about our English language requirements and support .
