Special issue of the Journal of the Royal Statistical Society, Series A in honour of Fred Smith and Chris Skinner
In Summer 2021 the ÃÛÌÒTV and London School of Economics hosted an on-line conference in memory of Fred Smith and Chris Skinner.
Fred Smith and Chris Skinner , two giants of the world of survey statistics, had long careers at Southampton died in December 2019 and February 2020. A selection of papers from the conference are in a special issue of the Journal of the Royal Statistical Society. Series A was edited by a pair of current Smiths in the Department of Social Statistics & Demography – Professor Paul Smith and Professor Peter Smith. Their are available to read. Our former colleague Tim Holt , instigated the conference and special issue. Unfortunately, Tim passed away suddenly before the special issue appeared.
