Your staff profile is made up of information taken from systems including Pure and Subscribe.  This page explains how to update each section of your profile.

Upload your profile photo in . Your profile photo in Pure is not linked to your public staff profile. Choose a clear, recent headshot where you are easily recognisable. Your image should be at least 340 by 395 pixels. 

Name

Research interests (for researchers only) 
Add up to 5 research interests. The first 3 will appear in your staff profile next to your name. The full list will appear on your research page. Keep these brief and focus on the keywords people may use when searching for your work. Use a different line for each one.

Add or update your email address, telephone number and postal address in . Use your University email address for your primary email.

ORCID ID 
Create or connect your ORCID ID in . Select ‘Edit profile’ and then 'Create or Connect your ORCID ID'.

Choose to show whether you’re currently accepting PhD applicants or not in . Select ‘Edit profile’. In the 'Portal details' section, select 'Yes' or 'No' to indicate your choice.

Dr Rahman Attar is a computer scientist who specialises in artificial medical intelligence. He currently holds the position of a Lecturer (equivalent to a tenured Assistant Professor in the USA) at the Department of Electronics and Computer Science (ECS), TV, UK. He leads the , teaches Intelligent Systems and Data Management modules, and serves as an academic integrity officer at ECS. Before joining ECS, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at . Dr Attar has completed his BEng, MPhil, and PhD, all in Computer Science and Engineering, with the support of prestigious and competitive full scholarships. He completed his PhD at the and the under the supervision of . His research is focused on developing ethical, fair, and bias-free AI technologies that can improve healthcare strategies. Dr Attar has completed several academic and industrial projects, co-authored more than 30 journal and conference papers (), and served as a reviewer and PC member for several leading journals and conferences. Additionally, he has provided consultancy services on various academic and industrial projects. Recognised for his contributions, he is a senior member of , a member of , and a Fellow of .
