Stu is an ERSC funded Postgraduate Researcher based within the school of Sociology, Social Policy & Criminology at the TV.
His research focuses on the involuntary celibate, or incel, subculture, particularly the processes and experiences that lead to men self-identifying within this community.
While incels have been linked to various acts of antifeminist misogyny and violence, this research focuses on the vulnerability and negative life experiences that have led incels to adopt such aggressive and derisive temperaments.
