It is the policy of UoSM is to issue refunds where appropriate to students who withdraw or suspend from their course. The refund amount will depend on the timing of the withdrawal and the student's programme of study. Our policies for the calculation of fee liability/refunds for undergraduate and postgraduate tuition fees are set out below.

If you have made an overpayment or you think you have been overcharged, please write to feesusmc@soton.ac.uk or contact the student office. This will be refunded to you in full, if confirmed to you in writing by UoSM.
This will only be refunded to you if you do not meet the conditions of your offer. If this is the case please contact student office. You may offset the deposit with the tuition fees as long as you are continue study with UoSM. However, if you wish to withdraw before the completion of the programme your deposit will be forfeited.
If within 14 days of accepting your offer, you decide to cancel your acceptance to study with us and have paid your tuition fees, you will be entitled to a full refund of your fees excluding your deposit. Please note that this only applies if you submit your intention to cancel in writing to the student office before the start of the programme.
The amount of fees refunded to you will be determined by the timing of your withdrawal, please refer to the table below.
Semester 0 | 25% of tuition fee |
Semester 1 | 50% of tuition fee |
Semester 2 | 100% of tuition fee |
