Lily Bissell
Academic Skills Officer (Pre-entry)
Lily joined the Enhancement team in April 2025 as an Academic Skills Officer, bringing a passion for inclusive education and student empowerment.
As part of the Learn with US Transition programme, she delivers interactive workshops and taster sessions to help sixth form students develop academic and research skills, particularly those undertaking the EPQ. She also offers tailored one-to-one support and library visits, providing personalised guidance to help students succeed in their independent research.
Before joining the ÃÛÌÒTV, Lily qualified as a teacher in 2022 and spent three years teaching Year 6 students with diverse learning needs, supporting their transition to secondary school. As English lead at her school, she focused on designing an engaging and inclusive curriculum with a strong emphasis on improving literacy outcomes for disadvantaged pupils.
Lily holds a degree in Geography and French from the University of Exeter, which included a year abroad at the University of Bordeaux. Her undergraduate research explored the intercultural experiences of students studying overseas.
