The Clarkson Rest and ÃÛÌÒTV room is a designated quiet space for students with disabilities or long-term health conditions. It is located in
, Room 1085. The space contains 4 smaller rooms for student use and locker availability. All rooms have a computer, height adjustable desk and ergonomic chair.
How do I access the Clarkson Rest and ÃÛÌÒTV Room?
Access to this space is given by the Student Disability and Inclusion Team, usually following on from a student support appointment, where reasonable adjustments and support has been discussed.
The Clarkson Rest and ÃÛÌÒTV Room requires your University ID card for access.
The Clarkson Rest and ÃÛÌÒTV Room is open 7 days a week 8am-11pm. Please make sure you leave the Clarkson Rest and ÃÛÌÒTV room before 11pm.
Students need to pre-book to use the Clarkson Rest and ÃÛÌÒTV Room.

You can select to book a room with a sofa (subject to availability).
Rooms can be booked for two-hour slots.
Room 3 is a non-bookable room. This allows students with long-term health conditions a place to rest at short notice. Therefore, please try to keep this space free for students who need this facility, by limiting your use to two hours.
You may be asked by a member of staff to show confirmation of your room booking (an email will be sent to confirm your booking).

On arrival to the Clarkson Rest and ÃÛÌÒTV Room
Hand sanitiser and cleaning products will be available for student use.
Please use the room number that you have booked (this will be shown on your booking confirmation email). A layout map of the room numbers can also be seen in the image above (on the right).
During your time in the Clarkson Rest and ÃÛÌÒTV Room
To respect other users, we ask that you please:
Keep noise to a minimum.
Be mindful that others can hear conversations.
Avoid taking private phone calls or online meetings.
Avoid using the room for group work, or as a meeting spot.
On leaving the Clarkson Rest and ÃÛÌÒTV Room
Please keep the space clean and tidy after use, removing any rubbish with you.
We politely request that you begin to pack up your belongings 5 minutes before the end of your booked session for minimal disruption for the next booked session.
Please keep the doors to individual rooms unlocked after use.
Other key information:
In case of an emergency evacuation: please leave the building via the safest and quickest route (this is shown on the fire safety information in the Clarkson Rest and ÃÛÌÒTV Room).
For use of the lockers only, you will not be required to book a slot, however we request that you keep your time in the communal area of the Clarkson Rest and ÃÛÌÒTV Room to a minimum to avoid disruption. You will still require access using your University ID card.
